My sound was off, so I didn't hear. Is this some fresh new sociopathic story or is he part of one of the on-going scandals? Anyone know?

3. Ohhhhhhhhhhh Thanks. So, the other shoe has dropped.
This has been expected all week.

10 years ago. Another gay congressman.

Don't throw arrows. I'm no bigot, and I know gay people are more sympathetic than most. And far less likely to be pedophiles.

But the GOP base is going to really wince at this one: More GOP gays in the headlines. More bad news.

If you made a dart board of all the GOP scandals, you'd be hitting bulls-eyes on every throw. You wouldn't know which one to put ahead of the others.

It just gets deeper and deeper.

Even I didn't think they'd screw up this bad.

10. nbc interviewed them: one does not want to get into this-job offer.

NBC also interviewed the two former pages, who are now in their late 20s. One of them said that Kolbe was a gentleman and never acted in an improper fashion. He recalled that the pair spent time in Kolbe's house at one point — and briefly were alone with him on the trip — and that Kolbe always acted professionally and decently.

The other would not comment on Kolbe's behavior during the trip or characterize it in any way.

"I don't want to get into the details," he said. "I just don't want to get into this... because I might possibly be considered for a job in the administration."

However, the former page — who is the one to whom Kolbe allegedly paid special attention — said he had a "blast" on the trip and did not report anything improper to his parents or any House officials after the trip. He said he has a favorable impression of the page program to this day and likes Kolbe.

5. Message to any GOP Congressmen who say they warned Hastert?
GOP leaders will destroy you if you speak up about tipping someone off about Foley.

7. Too late, there isn't any way to plug this one

Hastert may not resign, but he is still going down!

And if they purge their own, in public, so much the better for the rest of the nation
(there isn't any excuse for pedophiles, no matter what the sexual orientation of the
perp).

8. So it would appear
I really don't want this to become a hunt for gay witches. I don't care what party they're in.

If they're going to throw Kolbe under the bus, I hope he rats on the leadership who knew about the Foley problem but did nothing. Heck, I hope he rats on them, anyway.

13. We don't need substance. Or WMD. It's the 1% doctrine.
So, I say, if all we need is the hint of a possibility of one day some leader may develop a bomb that might possibly hurt us,

then we only need the possibility of one day a gay congressman may hit on an innocent page.

Run with it.
