About fundies and that new book, Tempting Faith
I was just watching Tony Perkins (what a freak) on Tweety's show, and I think I heard from him how this is going to be spun. He said that evangelicals KNOW that their relationship with the WH is awkward and not perfect, BUT, the Bush WH has done more for conservative causes than any administration before them, so they consider this to be progress (I'm paraphrasing). Apparently, they don't care if they're being used, as long as they get at least some of what they want. In other words, THEY'RE WHORES.

I'm afraid this book is not going to do much to convince these delusional craven people to stop supporting Bushco. I hope I'm wrong.

2. Yep, and such people won't be swayed. However
there are many not like him. I know evangelical members of my family who, after years of asking me why I wasn't supporting *, are now feeling very unhappy about the death and destruction this admin has wrought.

5. Not all Baptists nor Catholics think that way
Separation of Church and State was a Baptist idea.

4. This book might actually work against us...
...it'll get whacks like Dobson and Perkins on TV to talk about something other than the Foley circus.

With Foley, what could they say? Repub congress critter chasing teen boys and the Party leadership looked the other way.

With the book they can deny and spin. "Things got sidtracked after 911". "Kuo was a disgruntled former employee with a grudge". "I know George W. Bush and he's a good Christian man". "Kuo's a stealth liberal trying to depress election turnout, we're under attack! Everybody go vote."

Unfortunately, this'll get the "nuts" a lot of free TV time to make their case that all the JeebusBots need to get out and support "Gods Own Party" one more time.

7. Persecution is the wack-nuts' favorite aphrodisiac.
They get high when others point out their inability to reason. It's their test of faith.

"I'm stupid and proud of it."

8. That's true; reason is not high on the list of desirable values
for that crowd. They'd rather pretend that they have some inside information that the rest of us don't have that excuses them from the rules of reason. I mean, reason is so secular.O8) Damn they're stupid.

9. Not all Fundies gonna take this shit lying down...Many will not vote
and a few will be so pissed, they gonna jump ship and join us DEMs.

All it takes is a few % points and Bush/GOP's Boat is aground on a rocky shoreline with huge waves pounding the hull.

10. The only difference between streetwalkers and fundies is:
the streetwalkers know they are whores. The fundies don't realize this fact.
