www.CRAIGPAC.com memories of a Fallen Freeper
Edited on Sat Oct-14-06 02:10 AM by blitzen
http://craigpac.com/bio.shtml

"Professionally, Craig is a business executive who has enjoyed great success as a marketing and career strategist. He is currently the President of Gingerdog, Inc., specializing in guiding the entrepreneurial aims for Sara Evans' entertainment career.

His leadership and business experience helped Sara secure a record deal with RCA Records. Eight years later, gold and platinum albums hang from their walls, and numerous inter-industry awards have recognized their work.

Craig has been a congressional candidate having sought the 5th Congressional District seat in the State of Oregon. In 2004, he served as a Steering Committee Member for the reelection campaign of President George W. Bush.

He also serves as the Executive Director for AmericanDestiny.com, an educational organization that seeks to reeducate the American population and students in particular, as to the philosophical and religious origins of the American Civilization. "

...they forgot to mention his "Craig's list" and his predilection for "back door" activities

...i just found out that this Fallen Freeper (Sara Evans' soon-to-be-ex) is from my home town and around my age...

...his qualifications: he's a freeper with a rich and famous wife

...and what sort of asshat would name a PAC after himself, anyway?

2. I just wanna know
Why are people naming their kids Avery?? A friend of my daughters has a kid named Avery too. Don't they know this is a brand name for paper products? It's like naming your kid Hallmark.

13. What An Odd Thing To Say.
Avery has been a name long before there were any labels. What about Carlton cards? Should no one name their children Carlton anymore either? What about Michael's crafts? Is Michael out too now? What about Jack Daniels. Should anyone with a last name of Daniels refuse to ever name their kid Jack ever again? Hey, Johnnie Walker too for that matter. Frankly, I'm not sure it's really your business why they name their kids what they do, I just found it odd that you took such issue with it.

14. I just asked where the name came from
Your other examples are of products that came from existing names, not the reverse. I was just asking where the name Avery came from because I've never heard it before, except in regards to Avery paper products. It's as weird to me as if people started naming their kids Sony or Magnavox.

I suppose people could say nothing on any topic, then there wouldn't be a discussion board here at all.

16. Ahhhh, So You're Thinking Was That The Labels Came First. They Didn't
though. The name Avery by far preceeds the label making company.

17. Ahhh, the ultimate authority
Now I've been set straight, all on your word. How could I have been so silly. :silly:

Avery is not even an historically common name. I'd still like to know if there's a reason it's become seemingly more popular in recent years.

18. Don't Take Such Offense To Being Provided With Facts.
Edited on Sat Oct-14-06 02:55 PM by OPERATIONMINDCRIME
No one was being an 'ultimate authority' on anything, but nice drama ya got there.

Fact is, you set out to put down several people based on things that are none of your business and a misguided premise that the name was invented by a label company, which is actually somewhat laughable. I find it extremely petty to pick apart names of other people's children, such as your daughter's friend, but whatever floats your boat.

From a personal standpoint, I find Avery to be a nice name. But it really isn't my business either what the heck someone names their kid.

On edit: I'll even be nice and provide some additional education for you:
http://www.thinkbabynames.com/search.php?s=avery&g=1&t=1

On further edit: Oh, by the way, Avery was founded in 1935. Hopefully your education is now more complete on the subject.

19. What fact?
You still haven't indicated why this particular name has become popular in recent years. That's what I asked. As to your attack on me, whatever floats your boat. I realize picking me apart is a popular DU pasttime, but you've really taken it to the extreme. If you don't know why the name has gained popularity in recent years, you could just say so. Like I did.

20. That's Pretty Funny
Edited on Sat Oct-14-06 03:24 PM by OPERATIONMINDCRIME
Picking YOU apart? LOL That makes it seem like you are some victim or were innocently requesting why this name has gained in popularity. But we know that's not the case. It wasn't a curiosity you offered, it was a criticism. If you had asked it out of innocent curiosity I wouldn't have responded in such a way. But you were blatantly criticizing and picking apart people who named their kids Avery, including your daughter's friend's parents, because you had an inaccurate impression that the name was invented by the label company. That's why I chose to respond in their defense.

Furthermore, did you not even click on the link I supplied you with in order for you to be more informed on the matter? If you had, you'd see that the popularity of the name Avery is not really one to be considered recent, since it has remained quite steady in its popularity over the last 13 years and has basically been within the top 800 US names for over the last 100 years.

21. It's gone from 1000 to 200
Primarily in the last few years. It has risen in popularity enormously, which your link shows. I still ask why - because yes I think it's a weird name. So you attack me, fine, that's your choice and your intent. But don't pretend you've provided any clarification on my question, because you didn't, and you never intended to. You just picked a fight, for whatever personal reason.

24. What In The World Are You Talking About?
From 1000 to 200 primarily in the past few years? Are you reading the chart at all?

It is EXACTLY like I said it was before. Completely steady for the past 13 years, and basically within the top 800 for over a hundred years.

I've provided plenty of clarity to your question. For example, it was wrong of you to criticize others for their name choices since it is none of your business. It was a completely wrong premise to assume that the name was invented by a label company. The name has not grown substantially in popularity recently, as it has remained steady for the past 13 years and has been popular for over a hundred. The company Avery was founded in 1935. I'd say I've provided plenty.

26. The last 13, out of 100
The low being in the 1930's; interestingly enough, when the Avery company was founded. In any event, the last 13 is the last few years, like I said. I still don't know why.

That might explain a rise in popularity for the name, at least in the 90's.

Holy smokes, he's also the Exec of a program to "re-educate" American children about the "true Christian roots" of this country! What is it with these sick RW bastards and their love of masquerading as Christians to hide their depravity?

Sara's well rid of him.

5. When you say "craig's list" you don't mean Craigslist.com do you?
No way they could be the same person, no way.

The guy who started craigslist isn't a freeper, he seems to be a progressive

Or, maybe there's another craigs list?

The original poster should probably make the reference to "Craig's List" more clear.

Here's what he's talking about: http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061013/ENTERTAINMENT06/61013002

9. After reading that link, I'm thinking it's referring to the actual
craigslist, that this guy was using CL to place/answer ads re sex.

Very oddly worded, though. Like what does this mean:

"Husband’s ‘Craigs Lists’ are composed of personal ads on his personal sex engine involving him and prospective sex partners,” the documents stated."

Um, "personal sex engine"?? There's a phrase I've never heard, lol.

15. What it means is that the "reporters" have no clue what CL.com is, and
assumed that it actually had something to do with this guy just because it has the name "craig" in it instead of being a freaky coinky-dink.
