1. Rob is a little to smug this morning. Has AAR going off the air
and is quoting Limbaugh a little too much.

5. Good, I'm watching
I'm watching it a bit on delay (started recording at 4 am, just wasn't awake quite yet)

But Rob is driving me nuts. He is reading Rush Limbaugh now.

6. I think it is not how we think. When I could get it I liked it but
as a general thing Dem. are all over the place and Gop seem to like the same feed daily. I could never figure it our that my car radio picks up 4 Rush stations and one Christian station talking about God and Bush and I once in a while could pull in Air.Funny that the Right still think all the news is liberal when any fool knows that big business goes where the money is so once in a while they have to tell the news as it is and since the GOP is doing such a sh---- job it some times sounds as if it is not in Bush's pocket. If I recall every TV station was showing our great war into Iraq. Darn little anti-war. Now it is a real problem. Even the reporters can not get out in Iraq to show 'all the good things'

I don't have the stomach to listen to this asshole, but I know his spiel. I wonder if it's changed since the Page Scandal hit this wonderful 'morals' party. Probably not.

10. Protect Marriage
Outlaw divorce, adultery and force single parents to marry, that would do more to protect "Tradional marriage".

I guess gay-bashing is easy route

12. It would be less hypocritical if the guy wasn't in the closet himself.
How deluded are these people that it never occurs to them that they are as transparent as water.

I like to start Washington Journal after it has been on a while so I can fast forward through stuff I don't want to hear. (like uneducated republicans mis-quoting the bible)

15. I Tuned Out
It's bad enough how people here don't really understand a lot of the AAR situation, I expected this "topic" to be a total "liberal radio" bashing session.

First, and most important point...this wasn't "liberal" radio, it is Progressive Talk radio. Next, there's no mention of the poor financial situation of broadcasting and radio in particular that could lead to hundreds of stations going off the air in the next couple years and how local service has all but been destroyed. And, there's no mention of the poor performance of right wing hate radio...how their ratings have slid as well...how Salem broadcasting is bleeding money and have poor ratings or Faux Noise Channel's loss of half of its audience since the 2004 elections.

As one who has been involved with radio for waaaaay tooo long, the industry has deregulated itself into a real mess...both in revenue and in content. Younger people listen to IPODs instead of their radio, and old suckers like me have all but abandonded radio altogether.

Even if AAR does fold, the network it set up will continue...Jones Radio & Clear Channel are ready if and when AAR drops.

Are there problems with Progressive Radio? Damn right there is and the thought of having to rely on a Clear Channel as being the "gatekeeper" doesn't sit well with me. There are a lot of dynamic Progressive Radio and talk broadcasters out there...maybe, just maybe, the right combination of business and on-air talent can be pulled together, given the proper direction, promotion and financing to get established and build listener interest and loyalty from there. Also, there's a dire need to spread Progressive Talk to the local level.

Well, I'm not really in the mood today to watch all the misinformed "opinions".
