Some help with this story?
I noticed that Wonkette reported a rather humorous account yesterday about the demise of the marriage of Craig Schelske and Sara Evans - a couple of "family values" poster parents for the wingnuttiest of the Right. Schelske has been accused of (is this any surprise when it appears in the GOP) porno on his puter, making the children watch nasty movies, and runnin' around nekkid with his peepee at attention - in divorce papers, he's apparently being accused of adultery, etc. It's an entertaining piece. . .

However, here is my dilemma, and I'm hoping someone with more savvy than I can point me to some good information. In the comments of this story, one of the readers points to CRAIGPAC, a "conservative" organization that apparently funnels money to proper rightwing candidates - they supported Ralph Reed (okay, no puking yet) but they also apparently, if you look at this link, gave some money to JOHN SHIMKUS.

OMG. . .they've taken the map down...and the link! SHIMKUS was the ONLY Illinois candidate listed on their map at this site - so something is fishy here. I had this last night but don't know how to capture it - but I know it was there. Is there any way to find out how to find out more about the connection with CRAIGPAC and Shimkus?

2. Thank you!! I found it at google - there is something curious about this
maybe some of you DUer's can offer me some help understanding the PACS. According to this map cached at:

http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:1LVYsGC0QbgJ:www.craigpac.com/map.shtml+%22CRAIGPAC%22&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=2

CRAIGPAC has "helped" only TWO congressional candidates. . .Rep. Sue Myrick and Rep. JOHN SHIMKUS.
Now I know I don't know how PACS make decisions on who to support, or even how long ago they helped in the Shimkus campaign - but there must be some reason why these two candidates were selected and not hundreds of other GOP poster children for "family" values. Does anyone know much about this?
