Closing Ford Plants should retool and produce a modern Model T

An economical,efficient, safe car that most people want.
Something that gets 50 miles a gallon, a sedan and a wagon.
Maybe a few colors, but no extra fluff. Price it around 10K.
Hell, they could use existing Focus models as the model.

2. I call those the to and from cars. Sadly China is doing this right now...

Like or hate china, they are producing several alt fuel vehicles that are nothing more than point A to point B cars.
None, NOT A ONE, runs on gas.

I wrote about just what you are talking about a few weeks ago and it took a dive.

but you are right, what we need is a basic car, no frills, 50 mgp or even a hybrid no frills with 50 mpg.

Hell if Saturn can produce a car for under 12k that gets 30 mpg, ford can do the same and better. Makes me crazy.
