Question for Admins/Mods on Election Day

No doubt we will hit Defcon 5 early on in the day...is there any reason to assume that we might not be able to log in?
No doubt freeper/disruptor traffic will be heavy...I'd sure hate to lose my place at the table because of them.
Can you ease my mind PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE??????

as I have neither the time nor the technical expertise it takes (and patience too), but I should think we will all be out at one victory party or another.

7. The mods typically disable avatars and signatures on high traffic days

so that we can get through quicker.
