April of this year: Iraqi casualties are DOWN!!!
Lately I've been amusing myself by finding posts from freeptard bloggers from the past. The most hilarious ones are the ones you'll find in mid to late 2003, right after the "war ended" when all that propaganda video was shown with Iraqis thanking bush and the fake photo-op with the Saddam statue being pulled down. There were all sorts of "told ya so!" posts by these fucking moron freepers. It was gloating to a sickening degree, and boy, do they have egg on their face now.

But here's an absolute GEM from April of this very year:

http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/why_the_media_is_really_quiet_about_iraq_casualtie/

...note from the chart that the 30 casualties from March mark a downward trend in casualties spanning six months, from October of last year. That marks the single longest decline in casualties since the beginning of the war.

What's all this tell us? The terrorists are less successful in their attacks and fewer of our troops are being put in harm's way because the Iraqi security forces are taking more of a leading role in securing the country.

In short, we're winning in Iraq...but don't expect to hear about that in the media.

It's unfortunate that these people can be so delusional. Anyone else have links to past posts from freepers that make them look like the idiots they are? I'd like to make a nice long list and preserve it. Then we can throw it right back in their warmongering, chickenhawk faces.

I know, I know. Browsing and reading the freeper blogs gives you the urge to vomit...But be strong! Let's start a nice long document of freeper stupidity. Save the HTML and take screenshots. We can call it the Declaration of Freeptard Crow Eating, or something a little more clever.

1. It's Only Good If We Can Serve These Word Cold
Unfortunately many of these asshats still live in that parallel universe and believe that we're "winning in Iraq". Atrios uses the term "Friedmans" to designate these type of people who keep spinning how things are improving and kicking the can down the road 6 months or a year as to when "things will get critical". We hit a new Friedman every three months or so now...just to be kicked down the road further.

For many of these goons, if the war is "lost" that happened because of us...the reality-based community that couldn't ignore the facts for the fairy tales this regime kept weaving.

But then wanna bet half the "opinions" you were reading at that time were paid for?

5. LOL!
Iraq is in a quagmire, doom doom doom, will anyone help us! Oh God please help Iraq.
God has helped. He sent the U.S.A. I just realized something, it's becoming harder to look for the bad news than it is to look for good news. But the media has deep pockets, it can spend the time searching searching searching until it looks LIKE THE WORLD IS ABOUT TO BE DESTROYED!

Good find!

7. They are out there
These wieners are out in a field somewhere tossing fresh dung in the air then dodging the fallout as a hobby. I can't understand it other than as a study in mental deficiency or illness.

6. look at this chart...
http://www.dbc3.com/Fallen/

You can see the six-month period they were talking about. They conveniently selected that as somehow representative of something and made all their wild assertions based on the "trend." Then went off on how the press would ignore this nugget of truth, just to extrapolate from one single observation (30 deaths in March) to a full-blown mouth-frothing rant about everyone who does not look and smell like them, chew the same tobacco, and dally with the same sheep.

Just demonstrates that when an idiot wants something to be so, he can always find a way to "prove" it.

You can also see that the low number in March was followed by a return to the average of some 70-80 per month.

Incidentally, there were 25 in the first seven days of October.

I just wish all the fine men and women killed since the time that particular froth-mouthed jackass claimed all was rosy could come back to haunt him the rest of his days - and every one of the m-fers who try to dismiss these deaths as just statistics to be swept under the rug.

8. The reason that casualty numbers were down
is that our troops were hunkered down in their bunkers while Iraqis were being freely slaughtered by sectarian death squads. The US casualty rate tends to correlate with the degree to which our troops are actually out among the Iraqi population, as opposed to being holed up in their bases.
