4. I wish it'd come over here to C FL
We could use it, we're still in drought conditions. But it looks like it'll be a rainmaker for TX/mid-Gulf states.

5. Planting greens. Used baby diapers!
Edited on Sun Oct-15-06 08:19 AM by morningglory
I was looking forward to some rain to do some planting! We live on a dry hill in N Fla overlooking a bayou with acid soil. I discovered that baby disposable diapers have that gel in them that keeps soil moist. A bit off wee wee is fertilize. Poo poo is a no-no. Edited to add that if you soak them till they swell up, cut a hole in the end, you can squeeze out some of that gel.

6. Be careful, you don't want to get e.coli in your greens!
You'll wind up on the news - "Gardener gets e.coli from planting vegetables in soiled baby diapers".
