FBI reportedly probing Rep. Weldon(R)
WASHINGTON - The FBI is investigating whether U.S. Rep. Curt Weldon used his influence to secure lobbying and consulting contracts for his daughter, two people familiar with the inquiry said Saturday.

The inquiry focuses on lobbying contracts worth $1 million that Weldon's daughter, Karen Weldon, obtained from foreign clients and whether they were assisted by the Republican congressman, they said.

8. Wow! The Dems haven't even gotten subpoena power yet and the GOP is still
getting investigated all on their own by the FBI? I read in another thread about Mitt Romney's Administration being investigated for the tunnel collapse and falsified inspections....

19. Music to my ears.
Nice to see the FBI doing a lot of good things lately, now if they will be followed up and prosecuted is another story. I hope the FBI eventually turns it's gaze on Mitt. They could repair a lot of credibility damage (Cheney's work) IMO.

21. What is WITH the republicans? Party of shame and scandal?
It just keeps coming! Once the media gets their teeth on a trend, like the ever-growing crud of the republican party, they keep at it if they think it sells. It's selling this time...

Then I read that Sara Evans, the country music star who is married to a major republican that ran for congress recently, is divorcing because of his porn addiction and adulterous behavior. And here that couple was displayed at the Bush coronation as another example of family values. I feel sorry for Sara Evans to find out your husband is a major skank.

The republicans are like cockrocoaches, if you turn the light on them when they least expect it they scurry about desperate to hide their activities.
