House of Representatives or House of Prostitutes? |
|
Edited on Sun Oct-15-06 09:28 AM by BigBearJohn
We don't even allow convicted felons to vote in our elections, yet currently the GOP-run House now allows one of it's own, a convicted, self-admitted felon, to hold residence and sully the hallowed halls of what used to be one of the most sacred institutions of the American people -- the United States House of Representatives. A House which has now been disgraced and denigrated into little more than a house of prostitutes comprised of child predators, self-admitted felons, and common thieves, all perpetrating a scandalous fraud, in full daylight no less, on the very people by whom they were elected to represent.
To add insult to injury, on his own terms, Representative Ney is dictating to the leaders of the House just when and where he will decide to resign and leave the House and the GOP-run House is allowing it! How pathetic and utterly despicable is that?
What level of moral character has our nation stooped to that we now permit such flagrant disregard of the principles this nation was founded on? Where is our backbone? Where are the sane, rational adults of this nation when we need them most?
Is it all we can do to shake our heads in utter disbelief and apathy as we allow our principles and traditions fought and died for by our forefathers to now be trampled upon by criminals?
We call this institution "the UNITED STATES House of REPRESENTATIVES"??? If they truly are our representatives, does it then follow that we are a nation of despots? Welcome to the new America - the land of Sodom and Gomorrah and the home of the depraved.
Well, I tell you this -- they certainly don't represent me. How about you? For God's sake, I sure hope not.
(the preceding rant was sent to Jack Cafferty and Keith Olbermann)

2. This is one of the many reasons why we can't afford to |

be the minority party any longer. I recall an ethics bill in the House that was shot down. I'd say it's time to reinstitute a cleansing bill so this can't happen any longer. And I maintain that we shouldn't be paying perverts or disgraced, indicted, felons if they've been found guilty of any crime, regardless of their past years spent 'working for' the government.

3. The 'Honorable' Robert Ney of Ohio. |

Not only do we as a nation fail to comprehend 'bravery,' we now demonstrate we fail to comprehend 'honor.'
The party of 'values'? Where?
