LIAR. Took Carl Levin to call him on it. Wolfie just let it slide by.

Bush* himself said he wouldn't talk to the North Koreans. The lies just compound themselves. Over and Over and Over again.

5. Very Surreal.. I fell asleep watching CSPAN 2 last night
watching a mock "debate" between a young republican playing the "typical Liberal" and a guy who wrote a book about how to debate Liberals. It was LOL funny, but completely surreal watching a Repuke simulate what he thinks a Liberal is and watching the author say that you always need to have facts at the ready, even though his example for the audience was a flat out lie about the 16 words.

These people have rejected reality, just like a junkie.

2. Bush has stated the same lie - it is based on the bilateral meeting that

happened during the multilateral talks. It probably only happened to give him the excuse.

4. Just think, this guy may get a 2nd recess appointment
<snip>
Steve has pointed out that perhaps Bolton will receive a second recess appointment from President Bush, but agree to serve without pay. This speculation is drawn from legislation passed by the Congress on an annual basis stating that no funds may be spent on the salary of "any person for the filling of any position for which he or she has been nominated after the Senate has voted not to approve the nomination of said person." The provision was found in the previous legislative session under H.R. 3058, the Transportation, Treasury, and Housing and Urban Development, the Judiciary, the District of Columbia, and Independent Agencies Appropriations Act, 2006. It is also found in pending legislation for Fiscal Year 2007.

Perhaps the Bush administration would argue in response that the Senate never "voted not to approve the nomination" - in fact, it simply failed to bring the nomination to a vote, and that's not the president's fault.

But, this being the presidency of the unitary executive, they are taking it a step farther. On November 30, 2005, President Bush issued a 'presidential signing statement' noting the following:

Section 809 seeks to prohibit the expenditure of funds for the salaries of "any person for the filling of any position for which heor she has been nominated after the Senate has voted not to approve the nomination of said person." The executive branch shall construe this provision in a manner consistent with the President's constitutional authority to make recess appointments.

8. This really pisses me off. Bolton is very abrasive.
Did anyone hear him yesterday when he INSULTED the Russians by comparing the NK delegate walking out to Kruschev pounding his shoe on the table? Well the Russians took note and protested his 'view' of the situation.

Should not the man that represents us to the entire world be elected by someone other than ONE MAN - THE PRESIDENT?????
ANOTHER CASE OF THIS REPUBLICAN CONGRESS ABDICATING IT'S RESPONSIBILITY.

7. They've gone running to Richardson more than once
to do their work for them, but "unofficially," of course. Can't give a Democrat any sort of official approval, yanno.

I guess that's what they mean by sitting down with them for talks.

10. Bolton?! Lying?!
Seriously, how anti-social do you have to be to spend so much of your time conspiring against the Republic and the rest of the time forgetting that you did that.

14. Did he say bilateral talks or just talks?
If he said bilateral then that is a lie, but if he just said "talks" it isn't...since the 6 parties are all talking to each other.
