Poll question: Do you feel the state of the economy prevents large scale dissent?
Do you feel that the state of the economy prevents people from participating in large scale, public dissent?

1. on the other hand, when the economy gets *bad enough*...
...then things might change. People are trying to hold on with their fingernails on the way down, however...

2. In Fact, I Think The Worse Things Get, The More Dissent We'll See
We are in for a very rocky ride.

3. Crappy economy for ordinary people
Would tend to encourage large-scale dissent. There are other forces at work which prevent it.
IMHO.

6. Not enough people in dire straights
Yes it is bad and many, many people are out of work but it has to hit the breaking point.
Plus - we need a voice to lead the dissent. Where is that common voice who will lead the dissent and speak for the masses?

7. Personally, I'm waiting for a leader
I'm waiting for Boris Yeltsin to jump on the tank, for Yushchenko to call for public demonstrations, for SOMEONE to say, "OK, we have had enough. Here's what we're going to do. Follow me!"
