Another kind of immigrant -Jaguars

Coming up across the border from Mexico.

My thoughts on this..
I hope nobody hurts the Jaguars and the Jaguars just stick to eating deer and stay in the wilds where stupid trophy hunters won't find them.

Besides People react, when they see big cats outdoors especially in America where people just attack predatory animals like wolves in a genocidal way if anything of theirs gets eaten as in livestock...

Look at how wolves are tempted by ranchers to get an easy dinner by fenced in sheep ,the rAnchers clear all the brush so wild prey is not around.... than the packs are persecuted for getting one out of what a thousand..It would be a tragedy for this trend to spread to Jaguars too.People love their pelts, and they ARE beautiful, but I don't want to see these Jaguars killed for their fur.

In that statement of well being for the arriving Jaguars I am not including people, kids or pets if they get killed,by a roaming jaguar..I know that cat would be a danger, roaming in residential areas and sadly that 1 cat that would do that would have to be taken out for public safety.I hope the Jaguars are not tempted to go where people are.

I Honor the big cats, I respect them, So I hope people seeing the Jaguars don't kill them all.Just let them go their own way.

I have stood in a fenced arena with 5 tigers,3 orange and 2 white ones, feeding them strip steak off of a training stick(used as a pointer not as a weapon)If you respect the big cats and earn their trust, and watch how YOU relate to the cats, you can be ok around them and help train them to live around people because the tigers are going extinct and in the wild is where the biggest dangers are, from people.Training which is to the tigers is alot fun, like playtime. They look forward to play/train time..and for me it was fun too. It is sad Tigers must be captive to be safe from poacher humans, but this way, they are more sure to survive as a species.
If the poach problem was ended and China's demand for tiger penises and body parts was replaced with a demand for Viagra, the tigers might be safer in the wild again.

If you ever get to be around big cats, you can never totally relax and think they are tame, always remember they are bigger than you ,big teeth sharp claws ,(for an idea of the awesomeness a Tigers paw is big enough if he just flared his toes a little bit ,he could cover almost my whole face with 1 paw) Jaguars are significantly smaller but fiercer fighters and stealthy hunters, they sometimes drop from trees onto their prey)

The big cats are always faster than you are grabbing the tranquilizer dart gun on the wall, they are wild and if they are upset you must be aware of that fact and act accordingly, always read, their emotional /body language and respect their boundaries and limits, you can earn their trust. I learned alot during the time I spent working with tigers(it was too short)respecting them is respecting your own life and it is learning to grok the wild ways of Gaia in a world that for most people sadly has been lost.

But I don't expect American greed driven ranchers and stupid trophy hunters to GET that idea that they could co exist on the same land space with Jaguars around and nobody gets get hurt at all.Sometimes I think people like ranchers need to have training to understand predators to quit persecuting them..

All you got to do is take some precautions if you know a big cat, bears or wolves are around..I wish the people safety and to not see these Jaguars unless they are willing to accept they have a right to exist too.. I wish for the roaming Jaguars coming to America, they find safety and happy hunting while they are here, plenty of wild deer or other wild prey.

To the Jaguar Spirits, coming across with the actual felines.I have dreamed of you, your paws coming up from the Earth,in America..... this news is a very joyful potent metaphysical symbol to me, in many ways, including political.. to this sign, I say, I Welcome you Great Cats of the South, First Jaguar with the golden sun shining in your fur, Chiliam Balaam, & Tezcatlipoca, you great Smoking Mirror,(melanistic Jaguars)Welcome!!I await your divine..intervention and wisdom.

1. That is exciting
I think the jaguar will have a chance in the US, because it will definitely become protected.

3. Several have been spoted near Tucson and in the bootheal of New Mexico
in recent years. Their range is actualy listed as crossing over into New Mexico and Arizona in most field guides. Over 100 years ago their range was much larger and went much furthur into AZ and NM.

5. Jaguar

Just as a painting
We will be dimmed
Just as a flower
We shall become desiccated..
Ponder on this,
Eagle and Jaguar knights,
Though you were carved in jade,
Though you were made of gold,
You also will go there
To the land of the fleshless.
We must all vanish,
None may remain.

Aztec poem
