seriously, this has become ridiculous. The verbal gymnastics the M$M come up with to avoid saying the dreaded "Civil War in Iraq". That is what it is and at least Juan Cole addresses it correctly daily in his column. It seems these editors are running short on names for the obvious.

Iraq sectarian spree kills 83 in 2 days

BAGHDAD, Iraq - At least 83 people were killed during a two-day spree of sectarian revenge killings, as Iraq's government said Sunday it was indefinitely postponing a much-anticipated national reconciliation conference.

Separately, the U.S. military reported the deaths of a Marine and four soldiers.
