Most of us finally accept that the unthinkable has actually occurred.....thousands of votes in the past two elections were subverted, removed, destroyed and stolen. The idea of a theft of this magnitude must have once been a mere flicker of thought, a mind-blowing “what if” that metastasized all too quickly into your shameful and despicable acts against America. How could this have happened in the twenty-first century?
It has been said that the masterminds of the “conservative right’ have been carefully recruiting an ‘elite’ coterie of mindless minions over the last 30 years. During this time, a new paradigm emerged with it’s own rules of cause and effect, with it’s own insane perceptions based upon a faulty foundation of narrow beliefs and fed with insidious, seductive and contagious lies.
During the elections of 2000 and then again in 2004, your masters summoned their servants to come forth and “save democracy” and you answered that call. You spewed forth from the bowels of the smug and delusional ‘conservative base’ with all the pride and arrogance of the “true soldiers of the republic”, convinced beyond all reason that your cause was righteous because God was on your side. You volunteered for the front lines, willing to give your all in a fabricated ideological war of apocalyptic magnitude. It was your sacred duty to save America from the liberals and the godless evil they represented no matter the cost - so the end completely justified the means.
How could you know you were being manipulated by an unbalanced hierarchy, whose cynical, calculating, amoral, psychotic version of reality had been carefully orchestrated and presented to you as the ‘truth’, I guess it never occurred to you that their true goal was absolute and unchecked power.
And you excelled in your mission. You infiltrated the media, the evangelicals and the techno-wizards; you toiled as foot soldiers and organizers; you were among the hunters, the gatherers, the marketing specialists, the poll workers, the lobbyists, the motivators, the trainers, the professionals, the aides and assistants. And there were others of you who passed as elected officials, representing the very people you conspired against. You served your Masters well with the unwavering conviction of the self-righteous.
Their lies sustained you while you found new ways to prevent your fellow citizens from voting; their lies inspired you to use your computer skills to change the numbers; their lies gave you purpose while working diligently to cover up your crimes. You are either dangerously naïve or have become as psychotic as your masters. How can you continue to serve these vile and conscienceless creatures - if you have –not- lost your minds?
It is a dark and terrible legacy that you leave to your children and your children’s children. Make no mistake- the generations to come will not be grateful to you for compromising their freedom with such treachery and for such a loathsome prize. The truth will prevail as it always does and history will judge the servants as well as the masters in this campaign of calumny.
You may feel confident of another brilliant and covert success in the upcoming election. Perhaps you assume that we have still learned nothing and will no doubt grow complacent because of the favorable polls. But, WE are not in denial. The sad truth is all too apparent - it is no longer unthinkable that a citizen of the United States could actually plan and commit a crime so despicable and damaging to the foundation of American Democracy just to win an election. Message received.
