I read about this a while ago from someone who pointed out that he also can't pronounce "nuclear." I guess anyone CAN be president after all.

he was a nuclear engineer, for crying out loud, and he insisted on saying "noo-kee-yuh".

the sad political reality is that america distrusts anyone with half a brain and loves to put morans in power. and "nuclear" is one of those words that politians are actually wise to avoid pronouncing correctly.

though when it comes to portraying a moran for the sake of politics, shrub is the genuine article....

I have a suggestion that you may want to consider. Since spelling is so important, have a national spelling bee. Winner gets to be Prez. Of course, they will have to be able to pronounce the words "correctly". No regional accents allowed.
