Evangelist says he had permission to visit Hastert, denies contrary spin

There was a bit of controversy last week when K.A. Paul, an evangelist with the Global Peace Initiative, allegedly showed up uninvited at House Speaker Dennis Hastert's Plano home, unbeknownst to Hastert's security detail. Not only did Paul make it into Hastert's home, he chatted with him for 40 minutes in an attempt to get Hastert to step down amid the Mark Foley controversy. Paul told Armour & Co. he arranged to meet with Hastert two days before he arrived. "Dennis knew exactly why I was coming," Paul said Friday. "Everybody is spinning it in their own way and I am disappointed."

So, the GOP will use Evangelicals to get elected, but they won't actually listen to them, interesting.
