Defending the indefensible: Number of Iraqis killed |
|
Since the Lancet report came out I've been throwing around that 655,000 number a lot.
The responses I've gotten from message boards and from my conservative acquaintances have been nothing less than disgusting.
I've been told that the Lancet report is biased, that I should get my news from other places than the New York Times and just about every other kind of spin that the Bush-bots have gotten from the queen bee of O'Reilly, Rush, et. al.
What I would like to know is what is an "acceptable" death count to these people?
I mean, let's be completely off the wall and say that the Lancet report is off by 50%.
So then 300,000 dead to Bush supporters is okay then? If not, what number are they putting out there?
It's disgusting how all they know how to do is attack the messenger.

A half million down, just 50 million more to go.
Hell, they want to kill them all, but they are such hypoctrits they can't even admit to the carnage they have created!
