(Fort Campbell, KY-AP) October 16, 2006 - Vice President Cheney told soldiers at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Monday afternoon that the only way terrorists can win in the Middle East is if the United States loses its nerve and abandons its mission.

Cheney, welcoming home troops from Iraq, said Fort Campbell soldiers helped move Iraq forward.

He praised the soldiers for facing some of the toughest conditions in modern warfare.
