Another rethug that will be voted out of house (New Mexico)

Heather Wilson is a republican that is embarrassed to admit it so she runs as an independent. The RNC has been pouring huge amounts of money into her campaign over the past month with an influx of negative ads aimed at her challenger Patricia Madrid (D).

About a month ago, before this huge amount of RNC money given to Wilson and before the Foley scandal Madrid was behind in the polls by 5%. Just 3 weeks before the election Madrid is up 8%.

Hang in there friends, the GOP will need a miricle or down right obvious fraud to be able to hold on to the house. Heather Wilson has been extremely popular throughout New Mexico since being elected, the fact she is behind in the polls after all the money she has gotten means the rethugs are in serious trouble.

2. If nothing else happens in the rest of the country,

I will still be delighted with this election if we can rid ourselves of Heather Wilson (R-COW). She's been a lousy Rep. for this very poor state, and she's been a neocon rising star, on the fast track for greater glory to come.

If we can kill her career this time, it will be of great benefit to the whole country, although I suspect any pubbie administration to come will snap her up from whatever K Street lobbying outfit she joins.

AFAIK, her opponent hasn't even mentioned her dirty money from Abramoff. She hasn't had to. Wilson's campaign started off negative and nasty in July, with 4-6 ugly spots per hour on the network stations. People are getting pissed off at those, and they're having the opposite effect than the one the admen intended.

Madrid signs are all over the place, even in the pubbie areas. I haven't seen a single Wilson (R-COW) sign, not even at exit ramps.

Heather Wilson signs are nowhere to be found. I live in ABQ in the heights, every neighborhood you go to you will find a handful of Madrid for congress signs and not a single Wilson sign. Similar with bumper stickers, though I have seen a couple Wilson ones I have seen a crap load more Madrid for congress stickers. If the rest of the country isn't waking up at least New Mexico is. Also, with so many Madrid signs that tells you people really are fed up with the way this country is going, I don't think I have ever seen this many signs during a midterm election.

The negative ads Wilson puts out make me want to puke. She is actually trying to accuse Madrid of helping Vigil, I think those ads have backfired as any person with half a braincell can recognize the bullshit. I still do hope Madrid mentions Abramoff money, she already released ads about how much money she got from Foley. I want Wilson to be completely ruined by this election.
