hey, what are the rules now for broadcasting campaign ads? |
|
in VA, my fave station (classic rock) just ran a PRO-marriage amendment george allen ad. I remember at one time, tv and radio had to give equal time to candidates. I am also of the understanding that reagan gutted that.
I ask because this station is really a mainstay for me and I so want to think that the allan ad is just another 30 slot they had to fill, but there have been no Jim Webb ads. If they aren't obligated to broadcast webb's ads, then I can only assume that they have picked their "side" in their "battle".
If so, it's the oldies down the dial for me.
I gotta tell you, it kind of hurt to hear IMAGINE followed by FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH...followed by this ad about how "Jim webb doesn't share VA's values because he's in bed with Hillary and Hollywood."
thanks, DU!
