In just 21 days, America will decide which party controls the Senate - and you and I must do everything we can to make sure it is the Democrats, not the GOP.

To gain control of the Senate, we need to pick up six seats. Right now, the polls show us ahead in six races that will put us over the top. We're barely trailing in one and tied in another. If those figures hold up through Election Day, George Bush will no longer have a rubber-stamp Senate.

And that means George Bush will finally have to answer for misleading us into the war in Iraq and for grossly exceeding his constitutional power.

It means Donald Rumsfeld can no longer get away with his glib, insulting answers to serious questions about his incompetence in conducting the war.

But to regain control of the Senate on November 7th, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) needs your urgent help now. Republicans and their special interest cronies are spending millions of dollars to obscure how GOP Senators have constantly kowtowed to George Bush's disastrous actions in Iraq.

Democratic Senate candidates have all the momentum right now, but the DSCC needs to meet its $2.6 million goal by October 20 to keep all of its key campaigns well funded. Right now, they stand just under $850,000 from that goal.

The very fate of our country will be decided by the actions of people like you in the coming days. Let's not look back a month from now wishing we had done more to stop Bush's radical agenda. Please, give to the DSCC today.

George Bush refuses to admit the obvious truth about Iraq - that the out-of-control sectarian violence is rapidly descending into civil war. Instead of demanding a change of course, the GOP Senate shares in his dangerous denial of this devastating reality and irreversibly rubber-stamps George Bush's failed policies.

George Bush has nothing but disdain for the advice of our generals and our intelligence experts. He insists on keeping our troops in a no-win situation, and consistently denies the reality he sees in the news every day while spinning the truth for partisan gain.

Meanwhile, Vice President Dick Cheney continues to take the low road, attacking all who challenge this failed policy as unpatriotic and defeatist. After so much failure and destruction, the Administration's unbending ideology, incompetence, and arrogance continue to appall us.
