7. Here's the list from BlogActive
Edited on Tue Oct-17-06 01:19 PM by jhuth at work
"Regular readers know that I have not reported on a number of figures over the past two years because they don't engage in advocacy against the LGBT community. This post is not about one of those poeple.

Multiple sources have confirmed for me that one of the Senators listed below has sexual encounters with men and, at the same time, votes against the gay community.

Regular visitors know I have been whittling down the list from 100 to 1. Well, tomrrow I will eliminate nineteen more, leaving just one. Who is left on the list?
Robert F. Bennett (R-UT)
Jim Bunning (R-KY)
Richard Burr (R-NC)
Saxby Chambliss (R-GA)
Thad Cochran (R-MS)
Norm Coleman (R-MN)
John Cornyn (R-TX)
Larry E. Craig (R-ID)
Mike Crapo (R-ID)
Jim DeMint (R-SC)
Michael B. Enzi (R-WY)
James M. Inhofe (R-OK)
Johnny Isakson (R-GA)
Mel Martinez (R-FL)
Pat Roberts (R-KS)
Jeff Sessions (R-AL)
Richard C. Shelby (R-AL)
John Thune (R-SD)
David Vitter (R-LA)
George V. Voinovich (R-OH)"

My money's on Crapo.

11. There's a rumor about re: Thune as well, now that I think about it
But that had more to do with his working with Jeff Gannon/James Guckert: http://americablog.blogspot.com/2005/03/from-now-on-hes-senator-thune-who-was.html

Quite frankly, I'd cackle if it were Saxby Chambliss, after the hatchet job he did on Max Cleland. I don't see Graham up there, and he's supposedly an open secret. I only hope it's an enormous hypocrite, to make it all worthwhile. Since I don't see a D on that list, at least we know it's a Republican hypocrite...!

Did you ever hear that phone call to Crapo's office by someone asking about marriage legislation? It was hysterical--called the guy crap-oh, and questioned his sexual practices, and finally got the staffer to say that it was none of anyone's business, to which the caller heartily agreed.

10. He's been in the rumor camp for a long time as well

Senate Years of Service: 1991-
Party: Republican
CRAIG, Larry Edwin, a Representative and a Senator from Idaho; born in Council, Adams County, Idaho, July 20, 1945; attended the public schools of Midvale, Idaho; B.A., University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho 1969; graduate work, George Washington University 1970; farmer-rancher; member, Idaho senate 1974-1980; delegate, Idaho State Republican conventions 1976-1978; elected as a Republican to the Ninety-seventh and to the four succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1981-January 3, 1991); elected to the United States Senate in 1990; reelected in 1996 and 2002 for the term ending January 3, 2009; chair, Senate Republican Policy Committee (1996-2003), Special Committee on Aging (One Hundred Eighth Congress), Committee on Veterans’ Affairs (One Hundred Ninth Congress).

If it DOES turn out to be him, someone's either been covering for him for a long time, or will be very surprised: http://craig.senate.gov/lec_biography.cfm?CFID=18758927&CFTOKEN=91865073

As a Westerner and a former rancher, Senator Craig plays a leading role in the formation of natural resource and energy policies, and he has gained a national reputation as a stalwart against environmental extremism. He is also one of America's foremost defenders of the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

He is married to the former Suzanne Thompson. They have three children: two sons, Mike and Jay, a daughter, Shae, and nine beautiful grandchildren.

9. Who is it rumored to be? There are more than a few possibilities
Lindsay Graham is supposedly in the open secret camp...Norm Coleman gets listed due to his curious marriage...do we know that it is a Republican for certain, or could it be a Democrat?

16. Well, jeez, is this a surprise to "the former Suzanne Thompson?"
Or was she covering for him all along...

Will she write a book, go on Oprah or Larry King, and tell her tale?

Was any proof put forth?
