Rove aide’s all-too-quiet departure... (Susan Ralston)
Ralston, "she did not want to be a “distraction” as the election draws closer — the White House considers, or devoutly wishes, the matter closed.

“Nothing more will come from the report, no further fallout from the report,” said deputy Bush press secretary Dana Perino.

Ralston may have also violated White House ethics regulations by accepting pricey sports and concert tickets from Abramoff. But now that she has resigned, the White House considers any violations moot. - moot? the Whith House merely dismisses Ralston as case closed.

How convenient, as the Church Lady used to say.

2. "Well, isn't that special?" - another favorite from the Church Lady.

3. Ralston, go betweeen for Abramoff and Rove 400+ meetings
one day, now you see it then it's gone...! the fact she was the go between for Abamoff and Rove speaks volumes on its own.

4. unless we were to
get some hungry real investigative journalists like jack anderson, or the young woodeward and bernstein, these things will disappear as fast as topics on a blogsite.

yesterdays news is passe'

unless its that nutjob john mark karr, or anything to do with that girl in aruba - then they will belabor it to death.

i guess the media outlets know what sells, or that annoying nancy grace would be gone. if they could replace her with a modern-day jack anderson to just stay after all the potential scandals that never were...

lord knows they stayed with all the clinton stories - of course many were related to salacious stuff, but they stayed on whitewater wy beyond when it was clearly a non-story
