4. I think I'm about ready to re-register as an Independent. But before |
|
I do, I'm going to take a good, hard look at the Socialist Party.
I have been thinking about it for a long time. If the Democrats don't find their manhood and womanhood and start standing up to the current administration (I'm talking to you, Senator Clinton, among others), and get serious about unseating several unsavory Republicans this year, I will re-register.
Howard Dean's intelligence, savvy and charisma are obviously lost on most of those milk-suckers on the left side of the aisle. He should have been our president. Instead, he is left to piss up a rope while the people who have some power piss it away.
I am disgusted with my party.

5. I can't be pegged. I go by the issue, not by the clique. |
|
In other words, when I say something I know somebody will always vehemently disagree with me.

6. A proudly unaffiliated independent |
|
That sadly needs to be distinguished from the (so-called) "Independent" Party. :eyes:

It bugs the fuck out of me that we are STUCK in a two-party system. That rigidity chaffs my ass because it has become CLEAR such a system is so vulnerable as to be not only self-destructive but also a destroyer of a whole nation.
I don't like to think of how much tragedy will be required to break from this two-fer corporate governance because such thoughts are just too damned depressing.
I believe we have to (AND ARE) building a fortress against an abusive power by uniting against the BushCO/neoconster regime. Simultaneously, we are also building a contingency that WILL become an additional "party" with influence. That is my belief.
