Senator Dorgan states that if minimum wage had kept up with CEO pay since 1990 it would be at $23.08 per hour now.

That's the trouble too! I wish that a lot of other people could read that! I think that it should prove just how much that there is a 'War on the Middle Class'! Their wages go up! How come hard working people's do not!

6. It really should be around $8.00
I mean, at full time that pays less than $1000 a month after taxes. But how can anybody live off less? At minimum you'ev got to rent a room $350 and eat $350, and then spend a couple hundred on things like medicine clothes, bus fare...

12. Far too many Americans are trying to survive by working one, two...
... even three minimum wage jobs, all because of Republican (and Democrat, through NAFTA and the WTO) out-sourcing of American jobs. In the absence of jobs that pays a living wage, minimum wage must be raised.
