Our MVFR is almost three times higher than England even though England has a higher speed limit and drinks 10% more alcohol per capita than we do.

The Fatal Accident Reporting System (FARS) http://www-fars.nhtsa.dot.gov/queryReport.cfm?stateid=0&year=1999 reports that women who don't drink at all have 14 times as many fatal accidents as men who drink and drive.

While MADD falsely proclaims that they saved 67,000 lives from drinking drivers since 1983, their program caused five times as many additional heart disease deaths due to the reduction in alcohol consumption.

6,000 ADDITIONAL men die in traffic accidents annually due solely to the higher accident rate of women drivers--twice as many lives as MADD claims to save each year from drunk drivers.

If only drinking White men drove all highway miles, the lifetime odds of an American dying in a traffic accident would decrease from 1 in 80 to 1 in 247, a rate equivalent to England.

Note to readers; This is neither 'Christian bashing' nor 'woman bashing'. One of the scariest car trips I ever took was when a friend's father picked me up to take me to the movie theater one mile away. He was drunk on his ass, weaving through the streets. We had to tell him the light at a busy intersection was red, otherwise he would have driven through it and who knows what would have happened. Amazingly, we made it to the theater, and I swore I'd never willlingly ride with a drunk driver again.

The same year, one of my classmates was killed by a male drunk driver while visiting family in Mississippi.

A couple of years later on a bus trip in Missouri, the bus driver had to radio the cops because the guy ahead was driving in both lanes of a two-lane highway and forcing people off the road.

A bicycle-riding buddy was killed by a drunk driver a few years later.

Whoever thinks drunk driving is harmless is full of elephant dung.

until I went to the site and clicked on "forum". Holy CRAP! I could only read titles, but this is pure White Supremacist KKK filth. I was unaware that drinking like a fish was one of the tenets of those scumbags, but I guess it is not surprising. One of the topics in the forum is "death to AA" or some such.
