Rove's strategy reveled on Drudge is already hitting TV commercials |
|
Someone posted this just a few minutes ago as Rove's strategy to beat the Democrats. It's all about terrorism and making the Dem's look soft on fighting the terrorists:
"You had 90 percent of House Democrats voting against the terrorist-surveillance program, nearly three-quarters of Senate Democrats and 80 percent of House Democrats voting against the terrorist-interrogation act. Something is fundamentally flawed.' DEVELOPING... "
Just tonight here in New Mexico I started seeing a new ad from the Republicans (see below). We can win on this issue if we just educate the public that they are lying. Here is how the ad goes and you can bet a similar one will be put up in races all across the country:
Republican Ad:
A terrorist calls from Pakistan to Denver. (R) Wilson voted that we should be able to intercept that call without a warrant saving precious time. Patsy Madrid (D) thinks we should have to go to a judge to get a warrant taking as long as a day losing precious time.
End Ad
What our counter ad should be:
"A phone call is made by a terrorist from Pakistan to Denver. Republican ads are lying and being misleading. Patsy Madrid (D) DOES BELIEVE we should intercept this call immediately saving precious time BUT as stated in the current FISA laws they should also get a warrant AFTERWORDS so their is a paper trail as to what the government is doing. Heather Wilson (R) doesn't think anyone should get the warrant EVEN afterwords?????? In fact if the government is listening to you and your mother on the phone Heather Wilson doesn't think the government should get a warrant for that. Heather Wilson and the Republican Congress, lying again and wanting to listen into your personal phone calls without a warrant.

1. Of course the dems should answer just like that... |
|
Now how do we get them to do it? Some of them seem to have finally grown a set, but most of them are still "playing it safe", and being careful not to upset the repubs. I don't get it.:banghead:

2. I say the counter ad should be exactly the same people in the first |
|
ad, and when the call "from the terrorist" is over, the camera pulls back to reveal one of the photos of Bush with halo on the desk, and the person speaking being a Republican ... and the guy makes the next call, telling the person on the other line "Yeah, let's go with 'the terrorists will attack if a Dem is elected'" ...

3. They're Game Is Jury Nullification |

The good thing about a Drudge is he's so transparent you can almost see ass his lips are planted to.
This Reid non-story is part of an end-game the Repugnicans are playing as part of what is shaping up as a scorched earth policy. If people are fed up with Congress, then try to spread as much slime as they can and hope something sticks. This Reid non-story is an obvious "Oppo Research" plot that sounds bad but isn't (AP's Solomon tried this several months ago with the "free ticket" scam that turned out to be nothing) but the impression is how Reid is just as sleezy as a Foley or Abramoff...guilt by association.
The "game" here is to find one Democrat...a William Jefferson in the house is an example that somehow his sleeze his equivelent to that of a Ney, DeLay, Cunnningham, Doolittle, Weldon, Foley (put your favorite GOOP felon's name here) and try to get some voter...primarily independents and "loose Repugnicans" to say a "pox on both your houses" and not vote at all.
We are already seeing the "weak on terror" game being played in our local elections. It's strictly an RNC game, and it is having a negative effect. I keep hearing from people we canvass as to how they not only hate the negative ads (almost all cite the Repugnicans as being negative) but how it appears there's more money coming in from outside the district to influence the vote. This could be a big factor on election day.
Rove's hope is to drive down turn-out...the typical GOOP game, but moreso this year as he has a depressed base and one of the last chances to keep a loss from becoming a rout is by supressing turn-out in whatever way possible (and yes, this includes voter fraud).
