Can we start referring to Bush as: |
|
1) Our Dear Leader,
and/or
2) Chairman Bush
I think it fits in a sort of sardonic kind of way. When you speak publicly, be sure to inflect the sarcasm of your reference.
Yes, I know what you're thinking. I want to call him an asshole, prick, fuckhead and every other negative adjective in my arsenal (in fact, I want to call him an arse and all).
Yet, I think it might reflect purely upon us if we consistently refer to him as a shithead.
A few Dear Leaders and Chairman Bush's ought to reveal your hate for the man but in a more subtle and far more effective kind of way.
Anyway, just throwing the idea out there.
What do you think?

He never has actually been a president. That's "your fuhrer" to the GOPs. My position on this ..person is unmistakable.

3. I have always called him Mr. Bush. |

Never President Bush...never anything that would infer respect for a man I have no respect for. I respect the office, not the person sitting in it. :hi:

8. I have taken to this as well. |
|
Formerly referred to him in writing as * and in speaking as our "esteemed leader" (but, then I refer to my ex-wife as "my charming ex-wife - The Dragon Lady") . I think we need to be respectful of people in our conversation as we can (even if they are Bat Sh** Crazy)

11. Absolutely. I think it comes across a ton better if: |
|
We use the references that you and I cite rather than the vulgar names I'm used to.
Though I'm not immune to calling the fuckwad what he is. :D

...by using it to address that bastard.
"That bastard" is how I most often refer to him in speech.

6. Why he is the "Commander in Chief"! |
|
It is his preferred term of address, he uses the appellation every opportunity he has. I think it is a matter of time until he makes it official.

16. I have often referred to him as Boy George |
|
But I do think that it reflects on Boy George badly, but the target audience are mostly homophobic and racist anyway, so they get it. And I wold think that boy george would suffer that if it did anything to get rid or this disaster.

17. It all depends on the conversation. |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-18-06 07:05 AM by maine_raptor
I have many terms for this person and I'll different ones depending on the length and tone of the discussion where he comes up. For instance, let's say I'm discussing a political issue down at the local coffee shop with a couple of the local Rush listeners.
Well, I'll start out with "President Bush", maybe doing that a couple of times while increasing the amount of sarcasm in my voice each time, until it finally just about drips out onto that connect-the-dots place mat they use in that bistro. (For some reason, Lem has a hard time with that particular puzzle.)
As the discussion moves on to more salient points, I'll change my references again, this time a might more often. I'll hit the "Dear Leader" phase about after the second or third change, and be well into the "This Idiot" stage, by the time Robby come round with the third refill. (She doesn't say much about politics, but get her talking about the latest "missing white girl" and you can't shut her up; it's all she can talk about, really).
By the time the conversation rolls down, I'm finally ready to unleash my most favorite reference because by this time the usual "Jerk" and "Dolt" are just not, for me, describing the depths of loathing I'm feeling, so all that can be left to say is; "FAG"*.
*"Flaming Asshole George"
So tell me: am I headed for Gitmo yet?

18. If I'm there with you, you'll know it's me when I say: |

"The Crow Flies At Midnight"
LOL ...
That's actually a coded message that my ex girlfriend and I would use to mean "I Love You" whenever I was around my friends and didn't feel like being chided for being too gushy.
