President Bush has signed a new National Space Policy that rejects future arms-control agreements that might limit U.S. flexibility in space and asserts a right to deny access to space to anyone "hostile to U.S. interests."

The document, the first full revision of overall space policy in 10 years, emphasizes security issues, encourages private enterprise in space, and characterizes the role of U.S. space diplomacy largely in terms of persuading other nations to support U.S. policy.

Didn't he want to get a man on Mars several years ago? Hmm...and now he wants to control space. The final frontier? Does he realize exactly how big space is and how ridiculous it is to think one can control who enters it? What's he going to propose? Build a fence around the mesosphere? Maybe 700 miles long?

The question is no longer "is Bush hitting the bottle again?" The question is how much. This asshat can't catch Osama here on EARTH. What makes him think he'll stop or catch or stop anyone in (and I can't believe I have to actually say this) outer space?
