More blue on the electoral map this time.
Looks like a lot of folks are doing some awfully good work for our side across the country.

The U.S. House is trending our way convincingly, and if trends on this map continue, we have a good shot at the Senate as well.

2. Agree. Over 20 seats seemed out of the question last year this time
but very much a possibility right now, and if we increase the intensity, we could build on that 20.

5. Excellent strategy. The more Democrats we can get out to the polls
the better.

4. I can't get the link to open
Edited on Wed Oct-18-06 09:40 AM by Clark2008
What's the main page?

Nevermind - I got it, but it's wrong regarding Tennessee. It's no longer exactly tied: Ford is up over Corker in several polls now. It's weak Democrat and should have that nice periwinkle blue. :)

6. Hi, Clark2008. Sorry it took me so long to check the
main page (http://www.electoral-vote.com/) -- but you're up and running ahead of me, and I agree with you on Tennessee.

And if we have MO, OH, RI, PA, and MT already in good shape, TN would give us the majority in the Senate, and that is damned good news.

I hope Ford holds that lead and runs up an impressive win over Corker.

10. I agree on Tennesee. Ford is going to win there. 51 D/49 R and if
we can get VA to drop it is 52 D/48 R with lots more opportunities for Dem pickups in 2008 if the Dems play it smart once they have the majority.

9. I wanted to get off work that day to take people to the polls, but
I can't. I, well, got knocked up by the ole hubby (LOL) and I have to use my remaining time off for doctor's visits. Where in Tennessee are you? We need to get tons of people to the polls in East Tennessee - tons. I think Ford's got West and Middle Tennessee and, if he has even a fairly significant showing over here in Republican La-La Land, then he'll take the state. That's the way Bredesen won.

Projected New House*: 225 Democrats 206 Republicans 4 Ties
* Where no independent polls exist, the 2004 election results have been used. See complete House polls.

14. You bet. I'm kinda in shock over the 3 -- THREE! -- districts in Indiana
apparently with the Democrat in the lead.

Whoa.

15. Hi, djohnson. I love Claire and I hope she whips Talent's fanny so
hard he leaves the country.

The bluer the better. I'm pulling for a huge Democratic win in Missouri. For me, it would avenge the very narrow loss of Harriet Woods a long while back.

Go, Claire!

12. That's wonderful!
I agree - I don't think anything can give Santorum the lead, and Brown has surged ahead for good. Burns is likely too unpopular to have a last minute surge. And I think Chafee would have been ahead from the start if he was going to win. That means we need to really put effort into MO and TN.

Missouri and Tennessee would be great to have also.

17. Harold Ford and Claire McCaskill will determine the Senate
If they can both win, then it won't matter if Lieberman beats Lamont.

At this rate, Ford and McCaskill are doing better than Lamont.

18. Call me a cockeyed optimist, but I'm thinking Ned Lamont will pull that
race out. Lieberman doesn't deserve re-election. And as long as we're in town, we'll take Ford and McCaskill, too.
