"Miller wants to import homosexuals and pay girls to watch porn"
good grief...republicans are really pathetic.......

By MIKE BAKER, Associated Press Writer
Tue Oct 17, 9:24 PM ET

U.S. Rep. Brad Miller (news, bio, voting record) chuckled through most of the first debate with his Republican challenger, who led a tense and often awkward discussion about sex-related issues Tuesday.

Vernon Robinson, who has run a series of brash advertisements about the two-term Democratic congressman, charged that Miller wants to import homosexuals to the United States and supported scientific studies that would pay teenage girls to watch pornography.

"Those are San Francisco values, not North Carolina values," said Robinson, repeating a common theme of his campaign.

A bemused Miller countered by blasting Robinson for a campaign mailer that implicitly suggested the congressman was gay and criticized Miller for being "childless." Miller's wife had a hysterectomy more than two decades ago.

"It's clear that Vernon Robinson is obsessed with sex," Miller said after the 40-minute debate, which also touched on issues ranging from Iraq to North Korea to illegal immigration.

3. There's very little chance these folks will move to San Francisco
so you are safe.

8. So, let's compare SanFran to the 2 cities most affected by REPUB values:
New Orleans and Bagdhad.

And of course, Robinson's claims are just born of
floundering desperation. He's got nothing but smears,
accusations, and downright LIES to run on.

Lord knows, the ISSUES are not his friends...so he's
just hoping that he fling mud faster than it can be
wiped off.

11. Reminds me of an SNL sketch
I forget who it was, maybe Phil Hartman, portraying a talk radio host trying to get people to call in. He kept making wilder and wilder statements, hoping to bait someone -- anyone -- into calling, and finally wound up saying that he supported busing in gay puppy killers to affluent white neighborhoods. No calls came in, of course, but it was hilarious to watch the increasing desperation.

Hilarious, of course, being a relative term. For a comedy sketch, it was pretty funny. For an allegedly serious candidate for public office, it's just kind of . . . well, is "pathetisad" a word?
