Two bits says every close race goes to the GOP - close enough
to steal without raising too much alarm.

I swear to god that's gotta be why Rove is so confidant.

10. No point
DU has convinced me that the Diebold theft is a fait accompli. I'm going to sit here and relentlessly masturbate until November 7th, take a shower on the morning of the 8th, and join my fellow doomsayers in chanting "I told you so."

Join me. It's so much easier than actually working for change.

And yeah, I'm boycotting the sarcasm tag. If my words, backed by my actions, are not enough of a "sarcasm tag" by themselves, then that's what they call in Wisconsin "hard cheese."

11. well I'm not gunna sit around masterbating, relentlessly or otherwise.
but I'm worried about this AND I'm doing all I can to widen the margins. It is possible to do both, mr. man. It's a problem. A big problem. The question is, what are we gunna do about it? Winning is not enough if your winning votes are going to the other guy. Dammit all to hell but this is frustrating me no end.

9. we cant quit
If we quit they win, we must never give up.
I wont, there are only so many diebold machines in certain states
if we have a landslide they wont be able to hack all of them.

4. I'll take your bet! I think the Dems are going to take more than
anyone expects.

Now, I'm not saying there won't be any hanky-panky. Just now, on Thom Hartman,he was talking about a letter that looks like a BS form letter has been sent out to voters in heavily Dem areas that a lot of mumbo-jumbo, but at the end says if you don't let us know within 30 days that you are still at THIS address, your name will be removed from the voter rolls.

Ken Blackwell apparently used this tactic in 2000, 2002, 2004, and has done it again!

This has been done in Ohio and three other States, although Thom said they don't know which other three states yet.

I think those kind of things will be done, but I really don't think it will be done via Diebold this time.

12. It Doesn't Look Like They Have Much Chance To Hold Onto Power
All signs point to a significant upset. A cleansing of the repub congress.

The best possible way for them to prevent this is to STEAL it. Not like they haven't before.

We can't let down our guards to this possibility, and it HAS TO BE a point of watch for our side.

I hope I'm wrong. I hope it's so overwhelming, that there is no opportunity for them to Fix it. I just know they're capable of it, and will stop at NOTHING to remain in power and prevent any oversight.

If we lose sight of this, then all the campaigning and work will be for naught. It's been that way since 2000, and will continue to be if we're not careful.

close race it will go to the fucking republicans...these bastards are going to steal the election.

The Secretary of State (SoS) counts that state votes, and certifies them...If there's a republican SoS - well you know the rest.

We have get out there in BIG numbers and VOTE on November 7th!!!!!

15. 10-4....Over and out.
There will be so many eyes and ears on this election, anybody who dares infiltrate it better be planning for some jail time.

Even the NAACP is going to have their people in at least ten states.

We are not planning for a tsumani, just draining the backwater.

17. Ohio's already purged its voter rolls - Daily Kos

ACTION ALERT: Blackwell purged Ohio Voter Rolls Oct 1st.- Vote Early.
by KStreetProjector
Wed Oct 18, 2006

Then, one insider, probably an extremist, but certainly very close to Mr. Ken Mehlman abruptly stopped the conversation. He told table that it was impossible they would lose either house. He also predicts an Ohio GOP sweep.

He informed the group that over the last year, in four critical states the GOP needs to hold huge purges of the voter rolls have just been finished.

The insider did not say which four states, but did say Ohio was among them.

His claim was a new Diebold voter registry system had been installed over the last year. The last week of July and the first week of August a "test run" was made of the systems ability to purge ineligable voters. The purge generated names and test letters sent out to 1.2 million Ohio addresses with a focus on University's, Apartment addresses with high turnover. He claims they made the letters seem just functionary, but they have an action component to avoid being purged from the rolls.
