9. lovely to hear her voice |
|
and about her success...and Al is being his wonderful nerdy sentimental self...i hope she comes on more often, now that she's come back to visit, and become the former co-host person...i remember her not only as funny but as very smart and insightful...her voice deserves to be heard on radio and in books :)

5. Wait, did you mean, Katherine Lanpher? |
|
Katherine Lanpher From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Katherine Lanpher, born May 27, 1959, was until recently a talk radio personality, and previously an award-winning journalist and newspaper columnist for the Saint Paul Pioneer-Press. Her career includes internships with the Muskegon Chronicle, the Detroit Free Press and the Chicago Sun-Times, where she danced her way through an investigation of dance studios. She has written free-lance articles and columns for publications including the New York Times.
As a columnist she also hosted a talk show for a Saint Paul commercial radio station. She was known even then as a liberal voice, although she was not strictly political.
In April 2003, she was charged on the suspicion of drunk driving after allegedly hitting a car and leaving the scene in St. Paul, Minnesota. 1
Prior to broadcasting, she was a columnist for the St. Paul Pioneer Press for 16 years before leaving to host Minnesota Public Radio's Midmorning program from August 1998 until January 20, 2004.
Lanpher co-hosted the Air America Radio program The Al Franken Show in 2004 and 2005. She left the show on October 7, 2005 to write a memoir concerning her move to New York City. The book is entitled "Leap Days: Chronicles of a Midlife Move" and was published on October 10, 2006.

13. Seems that Old Al's wife, Miriam, blames Katherine for AAR's bankruptcy! |
|
They might put the MP3 on the website.
