How are Diebolds tallied? |
|
If electronic voting fraud were to occur I would think it would be easier to do it wherever the votes are tallied and not on the individual machines. Are the cards taken out and put in another computer where it gets added to the vote? Or is the total on a printout or display on each machine?

If I remember correctly many precincts upload the cards to a central tabulator like a GEMS.

I wonder why the Princeton research team never investigated this.

I'm starting to wonder why people are always talking about the vulnerability being on the individual machines. It would be so easy to add a vote changing utility onto a GEMS tabulator. This is the first I've seen of this. It's rather disturbing. Not that it will keep me from voting... actually I want to get a close up view of these machines if they are using them in my area.

6. One thing Diebold amazes me with |
|
is their ability to always, and I mean always provide me with a nice little slip of paper at their ATM's that correctly lists my balance, the amount I've just taken out and the correct time and date. Yet these despicable pricks are trying to tell us that it's too difficult to do the same thing with a fricking voting machine.
Make sure your vote counts, if you can work a polling place, scrutinize or anything else you can think of.
