The deadly "o" word
get your mind out of the gutter -- I'm talking about "optimism".

I'm feeling it from the tip of my toes and it's slowly working its way up.

I kept fighting it off, resorting back to my "gloom and doom" mode.

But the big "O" is too great a force.

Every day brings better news - even tho yesterday it suffered a huge setback.

5. Oh yeah
Another one of their last minute law cramjobs....

I'm so used to seeing Republicans do evil vile wicked things I forgot about it...

My worry is that if we do win in 06 and 08, the Dems might not clean up

3. Hi Cat! I'm still afraid to get too optimistic!
I've been slammed to the ground after so many elections now, I'm really too afraid to think too positive yet.

Ask me again on Nov. 8th!

8. That's probably the best thing to do, but I couldn't squash my
curiosity that much! I know I'm going to be glued to my 'puter watching ALL the races and 'll have it on TV too!

You'll hear me all the way to your house...either celebrating or crying loudly in my beer!

16. I could sure use a Big O!!
But the Big O scares me, just a teensy little bit. I really really really do want to be optimistic, but I've been disappointed before (2000, 2002, 2004 ...). So I'm just holding my breath until election night.

Ain't got time for that now. Too much work yet to do. But yes, it seems that our efforts might just pay off this time around.

I'll work on my "O" face.

...being a Charger and a Padre fan for most of my life has pretty much beaten the optimism thing out of me.
