2. Eh, that's not much of a surprise, and I think they've cried wolf too
many times at this point. Unless you're saying they're going to actually set one off? In which case, wow, I'll give 'em credit for trying, but think it will backfire so to speak

3. There is no excuse for a terror threat being an "October surprise".
Edited on Wed Oct-18-06 05:05 PM by LoZoccolo
I don't think the Democrats have a problem of being percieved as not being able to handle terrorism anymore, but if they were, there would really be no excuse for it. There have been terror threats here and there for a few years now, and if they haven't positioned themselves to not be affected politically by a terror threat, then they need to find out why and fix it.

14. Don't see a terror threat or even a terror attack as helping
the rethugs. They can scream all they want but they've been the ones at the controls since 911 and so after their five years of "protecting" us there is another attack, they just look bad.

They're out of October surprises. What could they do that wouldn't be so obvious an attempt to retain power?

And if it were something negative, how could it help them?

They have to find Osama, that's their only card, even so, it'll be like, why did that take five years?
