Bush on ABC: Uptick in Iraq violence their attempt to affect our elections
Edited on Wed Oct-18-06 06:07 PM by Mugsy
Simply deplorable! Beyond grotesque.

In and interview with ABC's George Stephanopolous, President Bush tells him that he believes the recent uptick in violence in Iraq this month is because the insurgents seek to influence our upcoming elections (they want Democrats to win).

That's right, all these Iraqi's are suddenly giving their lives because of what they hear about the U.S. elections on TV during those 2.5 hours of electricity they enjoy each day.

Can we PLEASE impeach the bastard now?

1. One dumb sonofabitch
Yep, the insurgents really care about who wins the U.S. elections. Or maybe they care about staying alive. I repeat, one dumb sonofabitch.

2. Since the constitution is toilet paper for George.......
Is impeachment still necessary? Isn't there a signing statement somewhere we can use to ignore that and go straight to........harsh interrogation? Because we've never really asked George the hard questions. And we've never gotten a straight answer.

28. Ya know, Kim Jong Il is suddenly making noise too!
I wonder if the recent nuclear tests in North Korea are Jong Il's attempt to influence our election as well?

C'mon! You KNOW if someone asked him, he's say that too!

8. I trying to find contact information for ABC right now. I want to tell
them that I, for one, do not care what G.W. Bush believes nor what 'his gut tells him' nor what advice he might have for anyone! I want to know when they will devote most of their half hour to a Democrat for responses to similar questions. I suggest John Kerry or Bill Clinton.

When you find a link, please post it.

Here's my email:
Dear ABC News,

Here's some news. I, along with tens of millions of Americans, no longer care what G.W. Bush believes nor what 'his gut tells him'. He has proven he is an incompetent, corrupt, immoral, egocentric liar.

When will you spend 60% of a broadcast interviewing a Democratic statesman, asking similar questions? I would suggest Sen. John Kerry or President Bill Clinton. Would you accept a series of non-answers from them like you do from Bush?

25. Thank you. Let's see how many e-mails we can point their way!
Make sure you direct your comments to "World News with Charles Gibson".

Here is what I wrote:

I was EXTRAORDINARILLY OFFENDED by President Bush's remarks tonight that he believed the recent rise in violence in Iraq was their attempt to influence our elections.

The only decent action for WNT to take now is to ask a prominant Democratic Leader what they thought of such a disgusting comment.

Let's see if they do.

Who is trying to affect the elections? What is their motivation? What is their intended effect? Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot he was a moron and his arguments don't need to be refuted because they are inane.

20. Easy answers:
> Who is trying to affect the elections?

Republicans.

> What is their motivation?

Power.

> What is their intended effect?

A permanent majority by scaring people into voting for them forever.

26. Wow. I hadn't expected answers to those questions.
You satisfactorily answered them all, though. All too true. I was assuming he was just saying those things becuase he is a moron, but even a moron knows enough to insult his enemies. It is more likely a calculated remark.

17. if anyone in his administration had any clue
about what the insurgents were thinking, perhaps they'd have more success at fighting them. That last throes prediction didn't work out very well, after all.

23. Yes, because it's all about you, right George? It's always about YOU.
It's about YOU, and your Daddy complex and your little dick and your inability to admit that you're still sucking down the sauce.

It's always about YOU and your failure to come to terms with your alcohol addiction and your substitute Jeeeeezus addiction and your failure to even be aware of what you've created = an administration and society running on fumes - an inevitable development since all you and your party and all of your overpriced consultants have to offer is hate, and fear, and more hate and more fear.

It's about YOU - your shattered, mangled syntax, your inability to express even simple ideas in simple English and your astounding lack of curiousity about the the rest of the world and the people who live in it. No president in American history has traveled less, been less well-versed in international affairs or lacked the fundamentals of the education said to mark a well-rounded person.

It's about YOU - your nasty, off-putting snarls at reporters and colleagues and political opponents, and it's about the way your "sense of humor" serves best to demean and belittle those who don't kiss your divinely ordained ass. I can't think of any other governor who not only mocked a prisoner whose death warrant he had signed, but did so in an interview for publication, and who positively lit up with glee when relating that the murderers of James Byrd would be put to death for their crimes.

I look forward to the day when your well-exercised body and still largely unused mind will have to fill the empty hours that stretch ahead of you for another 20 or 30 years after you leave office. The phone won't ring, the presidential library visitation numbers won't even come close to minimum projections, the rubber chicken circuit won't even be close to full, and let's face it, there's only so much golf you can play or brush you can clear.

I look forward to the day when you are discovered on the bathroom floor, your trachea solid with aspirated Jim Beam and coke and semi-digested enchilada. But even then, the memorial service and lying-in-state and all will be all about YOU - which would please you no end, I'm sure.

His next question was, "One-word for what the next President must have."

Bush's answer: "Can I give two words? Integrity & Compassion."

I agree. It would be nice to finally have a President with those qualities.
