Just saw a couple of small excerpts from his speech, on KO. When he's at his best, there is nobody but nobody who can articulate ideas the way he does.
Just wanted to say so.

5. well, there was this girl I dated . . . |
|
no, I agree. I was not a fan of his much earlier, and boy have I seen the light.
his tenure was so much better than the past 6 yrs of hell, that even GOPers in my nape of the forest are saying that things were better under his administration.

9. Clinton was not perfect as a politician |
|
But, he could be counted on to make an informed, well thought out decision that he thought was best for the country, and then to know how to articulate it to the American people. Obviously, not every decision worked out (the telecom. act of 96, etc) But, it's so far removed from Team Bush as to be like night & day.

4. It's getting hard to remember. |
|
It's like it happened in a dream, or in another life or something. I wish I had appreciated him more when he was in office. Unfortunately, I never really appreciated him until he was gone. :(

8. This speech is bordering on a sleeping pill. |
|
The "common good" is throwing these pukes out with a deserved vengeance.
He sounds like a sedated Nancy Pelosi today. Yecch. Joe Scarborough is more help than this.

12. I just wish people would listen to him... |
|
he wasn't making a political speech. If you have been listened to his speeches the past year, this sort of element is a part of them.

13. I've followed politics since 1968....the only person I can compare Clinton |
|
to is Robert Kennedy. He, too, had that personal touch and the ability to make anyone feel special. Kennedy also shared Clinton's mental acuity, policy depth and philosophical leanings. They are the two outstanding politicians of my life so far.

14. What I saw was really good |
|
He puts things in the proper perspective and in a way that people can listen and not tune out because they voted for the other guy. That is his strength.
