10. Radio
Edited on Wed Oct-18-06 09:17 PM by cornermouse
They're right. Except in bad weather I had already pretty much have stopped listening to radio. No new music, just smart-mouth talkers and old music. Its better to buy a cd and listen to it instead. And the fact is, I can get Doppler on the internet. The stations really don't do that much about weather for the non-metro area anyway.

11. $25 BILLION in tax giveaways! 128% increase in profits! and they
promised to wire 5 million homes in New Jersey with highspeed internet connections, for one example

how many have got those connections?

NONE!

this is SO infuriating

and they're talking about how these companies are taking municipalties who are trying to put up their own fiber optic networks to court

what a surprise

12. Lafayette, LA citizen: the ONLY entity that can compete with corporate
America is government, even at the local level

amen

too bad, as this program shows, corporate America is either too powerful for the government (especially state and local), or it OWNS everything else, through their pay to play lobbyists, who, though legalized bribery (campaign contributions) control who writes the laws, and, very often, write the laws themselves
