You know, if the Dems take Congress
and pass stupid fucking laws, and/or refuses to overturn Chimpy's stupid fucking laws, I am stating here and now that I won't be voting for them anymore.

1. If they do
maybe you could give them till just after the 2008 election before you give up hope.

2. I hear what you're saying, just keep in mind...
... that even if they do get the majorities, they'll be VERY THIN majorities. It's a good start, but don't expect anything like silver bullet results.

But the *effort* to do what's doable certainly needs to be there.

3. It's always better to be ran over by a tank than it is to be ran over by a
moped.

Nice logic.

8. I hound the hell out of people
it's gotten so they turn away when they see "Militant Midori" coming.

and I have no, absolutely NO sympathy or time for people who give me the "it doesn't do any good" line.

13. Whatever.
Who is militant midori?

I've put up Very Important Threads, that came to naught. It sucks at the time, but makes me humble. :hippie:

14. My name is Midori, and when I go on my "please vote at all cost"
I'm viewed as militant.

I'm in what was Cynthia McKinney's district, and during the primary I made quite a few enemies.

People don't hear what they don't want to hear.

15. Thank you for clarifying.
I do remember the McKinney brou-ha-ha (sp?) but I chose not to get involved.
I heard and read peoples' opinions, but so be it. It's a done deal.
PS I'm sure with my opinion I gave it, but so be it.

12. I want them to vote on and present
good legislation but you know * is going to discover that veto pen he has never ever used so I am not expecting anything to really get to be a law. They should try though to show what they could do without him there and mostly I want the investigations. They need to be held accountable for what they have done. I want hearings, hearings, hearings. Two words: subpoena power. They better use it.

16. I Word
Let's hear more of the 'I' word at the very least. This is beyond the pale - torture was bad enough but it just gets worse & worse. More and more unconstitutional.
'T' word

19. Pelosi said that it was off the table
I hope that it means that we have to investigate first. We can't seem to be jumping the gun and coming to the impeachment conclusion before putting the witness on the stand so to speak. If that doesn't happen, if they don't do their work and let them off the hook the dems will lose in '08 as big or bigger than we expect them to win now. This is their chance to show us what they are made of and there won't be another one if they don't recognize the importance of what the people want. They are being elected to stop all that is going on, it's not revenge it's accountability.

18. You know earlier today I was thinking about
posting a list of what I want the Dems to work on and or overturn once they take over - but I don't want to jinx anything - I have been dead set certain for months (until very recently) that there was no way we would take back either the House or the Senate because of election fraud - and then in the past few days I was beginnig to hope/think that it would be ok. With the voter roll purge stories today I'm damn near hysterical its going to happen again....OH MY GOD

anyway I'm trying to remain positive but even though I don't want to develop what they have to fix list yet - I will say that one of the most important thing they have to do is FIX HAVA to insist on paper trails and stop the BS with voter registration. Crap I'm completely ready to go to complete paper ballots - and if it takes a week to count the suckers then we'll wait for the results.....
