Air America Radio in trouble. Blame it on this guy!
Edited on Thu Oct-19-06 01:38 AM by Cascadian
As I suppose you all probably have heard or read, Air America Radio filed for Chapter 11 this week. I suppose part of what Mike Malloy's stated about AAR was true. However, I am still not convinced that he was fired for financial reasons. His show was one of the most popular on that network. It would be like NBC canceling "Deal Or No Deal" even though it's the most popular show. I think you know what I mean. If AAR is in bad financial shape, I cannot help but blame this man. His name is Bob Ennis. Air America's CFO. Ennis used to be with Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. Think about that for a moment. It does not take much to connect the dots.

It would not be the first time AAR has been infiltrated by Neocon operatives. Remember ex-AAR CEO Evan Cohen? Cohen is a conservative Republican activist who diverted money from a youth group to Air America.

All I have to ask is what is Rob Glaser thinking? Especially when he brought in Bob Ennis. Especially when he knew Ennis worked for a media company not known for being supposedly "Fair and Balanced". I know very little about the other man in the picture, CEO Jim Wiggett. All I know is that Wiggett has no real radio experience.

To sum it all up, I am in firm belief that Bob Ennis and I am sure some other people he brought in are responsible for the money troubles AAR is having. It is all a part of a bigger plot to take down AAR as well as other progressive media outlets. Like I said before, connect the dots.

John

not expressly state how much. :grr:

3. Yikes
I hope they do a good purge over there. We lost AAR here in Atlanta and I blamed it on: Weak radio signal--drive a few miles outside the city and it could hardly come in. No freaking advertising, none that I could see with the exception of the local alternative weekly.

5. That's why I'm glad the Drobnys are trying again
and this time they've got better progressives behind them. Not to mention the grassroots that saved AAPHX, which is forming the base of their new operation.

The whole problem with Air America came when the Drobnys sold the idea instead of pursuing it themselves.
