I was talking to a guy at a Mexican restaurant today about Habeas Corpus

He had not heard about the big story and I did my best to inform him.

I don't know if he is an American citizen or not. He's a Mexican guy, and he speaks perfect English. His Spanish sounds good too, but I understand VERY little Spanish. Anyway, a very friendly fellow.

I told him all about how Bush can now have people "disappeared" on his say-so. We talked about it for about ten minutes while I waited for my order.

Toward the end of our conversation he said something that really floored me. He said "Well, maybe that fence on the border isn't really to keep Mexicans out. Maybe it's to keep Americans in."

Soon, when he brought my to-go order, I said "thank you." He replied "You're welcome." And then, pointing to my "Worst. President. Ever." tee-shirt, he said "You've sure got balls."

(Please don't flame me for the "balls" reference. He said it, not me. And he seemed like a great guy.)

7. That's Why Walls Make Me Nervous

That's why I oppose building walls on our borders.

Walls give me claustrophobia.
