African-American Leaders Accuse Governor Of Disrespect (Arnie)

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Sacramento area African-American leaders are accusing Gov. Arnold Schwarzeneger of disrespect for failing to make an appearance at an election forum on Tuesday.

Instead, the governor sent a representative, who was reduced to tears after taking heat from the angry crowd.

Schwarzenegger's office is adamant that the governor was never scheduled to appear at the forum at St. Andrew's African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Organizers of the event were hoping to have a question-and-answer session with the governor and then Democratic candidate Phil Angelides. (Phil dont' screw this up)

"When I leave this engagement, I am going back to the administration. In 22 days when you knock on the door, it is me who is going to answer to for the governor. The governor respects me. That is not a threat. There is a reason to build relationships and talk about the issues," Fortune said.
