General Caldwell: insurgents are looking to influence midterm elections

http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/10/19/baghdad.operation/

<snip>

Caldwell said insurgents are looking to influence midterm elections in the United States.

"It's no coincidence that the surge in attacks against coalition forces and subsequent increase in U.S. casualties coincide with our increased presence on the streets in Baghdad and the run-up to the American midterm elections," he said.

"The enemy knows killing innocent people and Americans will garner headlines and create a sense of frustration. However, the coalition will not be deterred from establishing an Iraq that can provide for its own security and govern itself."

3. CNN, FOX and MSNBC certainly want the public to absorb that insinuation.
And some people still don't see that the corpmedia is the enemy here - they are BushInc's front line of defense AND offense during every campaign.

5. Sure and Iran and N Korea wanted Kerry to win because Bush is so tough
on them. Al Qaeda certainly did too because they wanted an America that was respected in the world and acted multilaterally. That goes makes their job easier /Sarcasm

6. They are coming up with anything they can ...
I heard them say that the insurgents are killing more americans for Ramadan to affect the elections over here. It doesn't matter what day it is they will kill americans because they can.

7. Hmm... I'm thinking they're looking to influence the US to leave.
I could be wrong here, but, I doubt it.
