The local Republics running for state assembly and senate don't
mention their party affiliation on their commercials, lawn signs or campaign mailers. Is this happening where you live. One guy thats running commercials all the time was in the paper this morning and he's under investigation for defrauding clients, course he doesn't mention that in his ads either.

1. This is nationwide
I work for USPS and see political ads all the time. NO republican'ts are stating their party.

They're ashamed, as well they should be.

2. Exactly the same here in Delaware,
and from what I've seen in MD and PA. I've also noticed Dems not stressing it much either. I think it stinks. I've been looking people up, but haven't found out how to figure the real local yokels - councilmen. My bet is the cop who went to FBI training academy and who routinely had the families of his daughter's boyfriends background checked is a Repub. AND unfortunately, he won the election by about 40 votes. :(

4. Washington state law requires party identification
It is a violation of public disclosure not to clearly, unambiguously and correctly identify party affiliation in partisan races. I'm very surprised that other states do not have similar laws.

5. Yes, the local office of the Republican Party is next to the grocery
store I go to most often. Big sign saying it's Republican party HQ. The whole window front is plastered with yard signs of all the (R) candidates - not one mentions their party or any of the typical "code phrases" Not even "Family Values"
