4. Just one of the foreseeable aspects of urban guerrilla warfare. |

This should come as absolutely no surprise to anyone. Take one US military squad on patrol, strolling down the road in some city behind the 'security blanket' of an armored Humvee ... and >>blam!<< ... get picked off like a turkey shoot.
It's not at all unusual for a sniper with average training and skill to be able to pick off a human target in the open at 200-300 yards - far beyond what any patrol can surveil on foot. Hell, even I could have made such a shot at nearly 200 yards when I was in the Army, and 'Expert Marksman' isn't even sniper quality.
If anything, making such shots in an urban setting is easier than in the field. Buildings tend to cut down on the windage and offer a huge abundance of shooting positions. The 'insurgent video' was taken from a vehicle - almost impossible in the field but perfect for an urban setting. Furthermore, estimating range is far easier in an urban setting with known distances and points of reference.

7. Ethnocentric fuckhead. The "natives" are backward. Bullshit. |
|
That's a demonstration of why this asshole is a talking head on CNN instead of commanding troops in the field.

5. watched it twice already |

Iraqi snipers targeting US soldiers... Hard to watch stuff. There is a cameraman and a sniper - they talk who of the soldiers they whould target and then there is - BAM. Soldier goes down... Watched it on CNNI twice already - they showed several different atacks. The only good news is one of the US soldiers got up after being shot and ran behind the humvee.
There was an ex-general commenting, saying these are very disturbing videos as they show the terrorists thinking of new tactsics to hram US soldiers and snipers being very effective on streets...
