The US Government is Trying Hard to Kill Off Senior Citizens
This really is a horror. I need to talk to my parents about this.

WASHINGTON - The federal government has told about 632,000 elderly and disabled people they won't be automatically enrolled in a Medicare drug plan next year.

These people are still eligible to participate in the drug benefit, but they will have to shop for a plan and then enroll on their own rather than the government doing it for them. To afford the benefit, many will also need to apply for a low-income subsidy.

Some advocates are concerned that many of the 632,000 could fall through the cracks, not knowing they don't have coverage for their medicine until they show up at their local pharmacy in January.

"We're very concerned. We believe many, if not most of the people, simply won't respond to a letter," said James Firman, president and CEO of the National Council on Aging. "Many won't read the letter, they won't understand the letter, they won't know how to fill out the application form."

2. They really don't care about ANYONE.
The Medicare drug plan was designed to benefit Pharma Cos., it wasn't designed to help people. I hate the MF*rs.

11. I disagree. They care about themselves and will prey off of others
in order that they survive.

5. Just remember
You can get $4 generic prescriptions from wallmart.

Not saying what unregulated factory they come from, but they are only $4.

6. As opposed to
making them dependent on drugs to stay alive and cheat death for a few more years.

I'm sure we'll make a pill to cure death eventually, screw cheating it.

12. Shmidt Happens...and history repeats
Cardinal Clemens von Galen speech...Sunday, August 3, 1941...Münster Cathedral

Snip...

"No, it is not for such reasons that these unfortunate patients must die but rather because, in the opinion of some department, on the testimony of some commission, they have become 'worthless life' because according to this testimony they are 'unproductive national comrades.' The argument goes: they can no longer produce commodities, they are like an old machine that no longer works, they are like an old horse which has become incurably lame, they are like a cow which no longer gives milk.

What does one do with such an old machine? It is thrown on the scrap heap. What does one do with a lame horse, with such an unproductive cow?

No, I do not want to continue the comparison to the end--however fearful the justification for it and the symbolic force of it are. We are not dealing with machines, horses and cows whose only function is to serve mankind, to produce goods for man. One may smash them, one may slaughter them as soon as they no longer fulfil this function.

No, we are dealing with human beings, our fellow human beings, our brothers and sisters. With poor people, sick people, if you like unproductive people." (The rest of the story)...

Race Hygiene: Three Bush Family Alliances

``The must put the most modern medical means in the service of this knowledge.... Those who are physically and mentally unhealthy and unworthy must not perpetuate their suffering in the body of their children.... The prevention of the faculty and opportunity to procreate on the part of the physically degenerate and mentally sick, over a period of only 600 years, would ... free humanity from an immeasurable misfortune.''

``The per capita income gap between the developed and the developing countries is increasing, in large part the result of higher birth rates in the poorer countries.... Famine in India, unwanted babies in the United States, poverty that seemed to form an unbreakable chain for millions of people--how should we tackle these problems?.... It is quite clear that one of the major challenges of the 1970s ... will be to curb the world's fertility.''

These two quotations are alike in their mock show of concern for human suffering, and in their cynical remedy for it: Big Brother must prevent the `` unworthy '' or `` unwanted '' people from living.

Let us now further inquire into the family background of our President, so as to help illustrate how the second quoted author, George Bush came to share the outlook of the first, Adolf Hitler. MORE...

14. No doubt about it. The elderly are one of the many groups that the g'ment
wants gone like the disabled, the poor, the working class who are unionized and so on...

It's a class war and they aim to win. :puke:

19. Smart move. Killing off seniors means less social security checks to
send out. Move the money over to Haliburton.

It's working in Iraq, why not here. :(

20. According to the GOP, If you ain't cannon fodder, you ain't shit.
Why should they care about the elderly? They can't send them to Iraq and are a financial burden to the GOP's beloved insurance companies.

This makes me sick - They really don't care at all about human life, to them a human being is nothing more than a pawn in their sick, hateful game.
