Rove's a JEENYUS!!! A Damn JEENYUS I Tells Ya!!!
Tables Turned for the G.O.P. Over Iraq Issue

WASHINGTON, Oct. 18 — Four months ago, the White House offered a set of clear political directions to Republicans heading into the midterm elections: embrace the war in Iraq as critical to the antiterrorism fight and belittle Democrats as advocates of a “cut and run” policy of weakness.

--snipp--

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/19/us/politics/19campaign.html?ex=1318910400&en=694c678715309c18&ei=5090&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss

That's Rove's supposed jeenyus on full display. Rove has ALWAYS been an overrated thug. If he can't cheat, steal or slime, he's got nothing.

Here's a post I wrote a while ago that I always like to repost in situations like this:

2. He is very good at what you give him credit for
Cheating, Stealing and Sliming. No college education needed, no military service to kinda accentuate some sort of discipline and honor and absolutely no need for the truth. He is a classic member of the republican party and citizens who support the party are fucking anti-american constitution hating bastards.

3. Rove is NOT a genius. Jeenyus, yes.
All he knows how to do is lie, cheat and steal. Any asshole can do that!

4. People learn how to bully, lie, and weasel when they're kids. It's
not rocket science. That's how we know how to identify a bully/liar/weasel when we see one.

6. Thanks for repost of your assessment of Rove. Interesting......
He's had alot of help appearing to look "brilliant" from the Bush Fixers and the RW Think Tanks..plus a few millionaires and the Evangelical Christians.

The only smartness he has is probably with "numbers" but the rest of it is probably what you say. He marketed a product that looks now like a "broken toy" that once held so much hope for the folks who bought the advertising.

:D It was a good observation...

12. Thanks Koko!
:hi:

He may have a good memory, he may be smart, but he's no genius. He has low cunning and no morals, and a good memory. But he's only special in that there is nothing he won't stoop to and he's tenacious and persistent. But he's NOT a genius. Dangerous, yes, genius, no. And yes, he's had a LOT of help, especially from the elite media class. He's had help in that there are active forces that have fostered this "genius" meme about him.

7. Exactly right...
I love this part:

“Only in an election year this complicated can Republicans be happy that Mark Foley knocked the Iraq war off the front page,” Mr. Campbell said.

Evil to the core. His only talents are being low-down, shiftless, dirty and scheming.

8. I never considered Rove a genius,
just someone who has no boundaries of moral decency. I've always believed that we could win, without diving into the same slime-pit where he swims...we just had to figure the weakness in his strategy and come out swinging before it reached critical mass or better yet, since he's so damned predictable, use whatever issue we know he's going to distort, and attack first.

This time it looks he tactically maneuvered his troops right into a backdraft.

9. Amibition & Connections
It's all anything any of these cretins have ever had. They've spent all their lives making the right connections, but never learning a thing and never really thinking anything through.

It's pretty sickening.

10. Absolutely. He engenders the awe weaklings have for gangster movies
His tactics aren't from great insight or brilliance, he's simply willing to do the ugliest ratfucking that civilized people wouldn't even consider. It's like people watching gangster movies: they're living out a vicarious thrill of doing all the violent things they'd love to do but can't because of the consequences.

This is one of the most overrated apparatchiks in the history of political scrabbling.

Sadly, though, lefties have been so successfully cowed by the right that many shrink in terror at the power of the reactionaries. They have no such power. We're spooked to such a degree that we can't even accept the label "liberal"; once applied, most current lefties run and hide, denying the term and slithering to the cover of tags like "progressive". We're so successfully spooked that any questioning of the systematic looting and kleptomania by the rich is instantly shut down by the baying hounds of privilege decrying "class warfare".

This guy's a tin-horn Goebbels. He's a lightweight and every bit the thug you describe. Yes, we have to fear the complacency of our fellow citizens and the powerful tactic of constantly conjuring fear, but we don't have to fear this Marat as anything more than a backstabbing guttersnipe creep of the most primitive sort.

20. Well Said!
He knows the basic tricks. For instance, the building of his aura of invincibility. But he can't pull it off w/out LOT'S of help from the bought and paid for media, and he also can't sustain it because he really doesn't have any real charisma or gravitas; it's all really only bought and paid for.

The really scary thing is, if the neocons really HAD found someone who was a genius, and that genius actually picked a competent 'tool' to become President. Instead they picked Rove, who picked Chimpy. The picked a hack and a stooge and, well, they got what they paid for.

it was great.

She said she wouldn't have voted for the IWR, if she knew then what she knows now... but we can't cut and run, that would be the worst thing we could do. Oh, and partitioning is only resisted by Shiites... everyone else just *loves* the idea.
